Do Top bar hives eliminate the need for Nosema or Foulbrood medication?

Q. Do Top bar hives eliminate the need for Nosema or Foulbrood medication?

A. At the moment we are having neither of these problems. If you already have hives that have these problems locate your Backyard Hive away from the other hives, and let us know how it is going. If you know how to identify these problems, and find them in your hive, you could medicate, but I am using no medications.

Good answer. I have not had these problems in 16 years and believe the reason to be that the girls are healthy. When a hive is not tended and we don't treat when a specific instance occures (feed chamomiled and dandelion root tea and/or treat w/ oxalic or formic acid)the hive becomes weak and Nosema and or Foulbrood can occure.
