A. That's the best thing about the Backyard Hive. It is absolutely the easiest bee hive you can get. All you really need to do is unpack it, put it on a level surface, and add bees. We recommend putting a bit of beeswax on each top bar, but you don't even have to do that. Also, many people choose to add some sort of waterproof material to the roof of the hive -- usually something that matches their house and the decor of their back yard, but there again -- you don't have to. The hive will work right out of the box.
